From a design perspective, the two types of dragon tattoo are very different. In Western culture, the dragon is represented as a large, monstrous dinosaur-like creature, as opposed to the thinner, snake-like Asian interpretation. Within the general categorization of East-West, there are smaller, more defined divisions, such as the Japanese dragon that features extended whiskers.

One of the largest attractions of the dragon tattoo is the majestic appearance, along with the plethora of meaning behind the creatures. Gentler dragons with the name or initials of someone special are actually more common than the large, terrifying, fire-breathing  type.
This design is popular on the lower back for women because it makes them feel good about themselves. Because of the large amount of skin on the back, almost any design you can dream, no matter how large or detailed, is possible.

Considering Some Sanskrit Tattoo Art?

Ancient art designs have greatly increased in popularity over the past few years, along with the overall interest in tattoos. People from all types of backgrounds and social statuses are now enamored with tattoos, and there is no longer the stigma of lower class and tackiness attached to being inked.

As opposed to the wildly popular Celtic cross, the Sanskrit design is a lot less mainstream, but it still features an excellent design. Due to the fact that heavy religious connotations are not present with Sanskrit art, it makes an excellent choice for anyone who simply loves the design or is passionate about world history.

Sanskrit is very easy to get, and it’s a conversation starter for language and history enthusiasts, and locating an adequate design is considerably easier than comparable tribal art. Some experts on the language contend that all current languages are based in some way on Sanskrit, and it’s much more efficient than English.

The precision of Sanskrit makes tattoos excellent ideas, as concepts such as unconditional love and remembrance can easily be created. Names of important people in your life, translated into Sanskrit, make excellent additions to anybody’s skin.

For a sense of realism and authenticism, a true Sanskrit tattoo is better than many of the “tribal” artwork, which was designed by modern people. Sanskrit is very artist friendly, so it can be used as a standalone design, or it can be integrated into a larger scene or image.

For those who want a more traditional, historical tattoo, that goal can easily be achieved. If you are the opposite and would like an energetic, stylish tattoo, Sanskrit lends itself well to this too, in addition to the previously discussed options.

Since Japanese is a foreign language and you probably don’t understand the characters and symbols, double check the meaning before you get it inked.It’s not too uncommon for someone to receive a Japanese design that has a completely different meaning than what they thought.
